Crazy Swedes

January 18th, 2001

It seems that a bunch of people have finally convinced me to update this again.
The weekend was good — Markus took me to a party just down the road and I met lots of interesting people and didn't understand a word of the songs they all sang in Swedish. Then on Saturday I went with Markus and a friend of his to a school sports hall to play some “mini-tennis,” basketball and soccer. On Sunday I tagged along with my host mother for a walk around Kullavik.
Amy, an exchange student from New Zealand who is staying with frineds of my host family, and I started “Swedish for Immigrants” lessons on Monday, which we have for eight hours per week. Hopefully, at that rate, we'll pick up the language pretty quickly.
Yesterday, in our gym class, the crazy Swedes played indoor golf.
And last night, I went along to see Gustav's bandy team win a match 22-1. Gustav is the goalkeeper, so he didn't have too much to do.
