Värmland
April 18th, 2001The trip to Värmland was pretty good; we did a fair bit.
First of all we moved in a bunch of new(er) furniture and took the old stuff out, some of which was later to be burnt.
We also took a walk through the forest to the top of a mountain (on which lies a number of ski slopes) and climbed a tower built (and later rebuilt) during WWII to survey air traffic across the Norwegian border, just a few kilometres away.
On Saturday and Sunday we burnt off a lot of the grass, which was quite fun. The Swedish thing is, it started snowing while we were doing so.
There was a bit of Easter celebration and much godis-eating, too, of course. My great eyesight and seeking skills meant that I found my påskägg umm, long after the others.
Oh, and there was no running water to the house, as the pipes had frozen.
And my hair has just magically turned red.
